I would also love to meet;

  • Alan Bean
  • Harrison Schmitt
  • John Young
  • Michael Collins
  • Jim Lovell
  • Frank Borman
  • Bill Anders
  • Ken Mattingly

I know its a wish list, but there is no point posting a list of regular guests

How about Col. Chris Hadfield? A nice ISS Cupola backdrop for the photoshoot?

keep up the good work, thanks to Autographica I have met many of my heroes over the last decade or so

I just hope Ed mitchell and Dave Scott will be 'confirmed' soon by getting their own guest announcement thread. Although I know it was previously announced they would be be appearing at the Autographica show in April 2015 there have not been any updates on the Autographica 22 forum nor has the website been updated. I will wait a bit longer before I book my flights and hotel.

My favourite mission was Apollo 8, I would love to meet any of the crew members. Here is my tribute to the mission http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeSIANXAo-E

What are other forum members favourite missions and why?

Apollo 11 (an obvious choice I know) because it was the first manned landing.

Apollo 8 had the best mission patch though!

I really hope they can secure Dave Scott for October in London!

2 Astronauts I really want to meet are

Jim Lovell Apollo 8 and 13

Fred Haise Apollo 13

It's the 45th anniversary of Apollo 13 this year! Would be brilliant to see one or even both of them!

I'm going to try to be realistic with my wish list!

First of all, I can't wait for Edgar Mitchell and Dave Scott... Fingers crossed, it'd be really disappointing if they don't make it!

I'd love to meet

1. Charlie Duke (most of all!)

2. Dick Gordon

3. Jim Lovell

4. Fred Haise

5. Rusty Schweickart

6. Walt Cunningham

Now, if this was a wish list that included 'hail marys'!...

1. Mike Collins

2. John Young

3. Bill Anders

4. Ken mattingly

I know they're unlikely, if not impossible, but sure we can always hope! :)

First 6 aren't outside the bounds of possibility, although I hear Jim Lovell is slowing down his appearances now - he's approaching 90 years old. Last 4 I'd say no chance - Mike Collins only signs privately (he's got a mail-in coming up in the USA), John Young and Bill Anders don't sign anymore, and Ken Mattingly is probably the most elusive of all the remaining Apollo astronauts - he was in Britain last year but that was an extremely rare, one off appearance, and he just doesn't do these shows. Of course, I'd love to be proved wrong.....

Cheers

It would be great to see Jim Lovell and Fred Haise for the 45th anniversary.

I met Mike Collins a few years ago after entering a science contest while in school. He was such a nice guy and after the prize giving for the contest I sent him a letter and we held correspondence for almost a year. I'd love the opportunity to meet him again now that I'm all grown up!

A few of you guys mentioned Chris hadfield, another gentleman! I met him in Dublin during his last book tour and he drew a little picture of the ISS in my book to explain a question I had about the node. He'd make for a top notch guest!
