AxelV
Seriously - have I missed it or is there really not a Game of Thrones book thread yet? Maybe none of you have read them? Oh lawd. If any of you HAVE read the series or are looking to read it, I'd love to talk with you. There's nothing worse than having a large group of friends who absolutely love the TV show yet you're limited to what you can say because they're not interested in reading the books, ARGH. So, any Game of Thrones books fans? What did you think? Anticipations for the next installment? :)
jael001
I just want George to hurry up and write, no more personal appearances, he needs to knuckle down and get it out cos I'm impatient :) I have to say I struggled with the last couple of books a bit, too many characters I just dont care about. Spacecadet is here
I really like the books, They stop my door from slamming closed when the wind blows in through my garden door..... Good door stops. (I have no idea why lines go through my blogs)
carlafrate
As someone who has read ALL the books in the series I have found it hard waiting for the next book to be written for 5 years as for the spoilers I can't even count how many times I was gonna ask Joe Dempsie certain questions with people standing behind me holding the box sets of course i bit my lip. I found books 2 and 4 to be the most difficult - not a whole lot of action - just words lol. I quite enjoyed 5 - though I just want that particular storyline to hurry up lol. CosmicAvatar
I've only read two books as the second made it clear I was reading stuff from S3 of the TV series so now I am waiting for S4 to air before reading book 3. *taps on desk impatiently*

Lostboy1981
I've literally just finished book 3, a storm of swords, and I'm starting a feast for crows tonight even though I've heard its a bit of a chore to get into. So as far a the show is going I think the last few episodes of this season will fill what if read so far, and for that reason I'm really looking forward to it! I'm really hoping a feast for crows isn't as bad as some people make out but if it is I'll no doubt stick with it anyway. Wouldn't wanna miss anything! I loved a storm of swords. Wizzy5395
I finished reading A Feast For Crows on Friday. I enjoyed reading it. Especially the surprises it throws at you. What happens to Cersei put a smile on my face. I'm now reading Book5 A Dance With Dragons : Dreams and Dust. But I admit to enjoying reading the series as a whole.
carryfiasco
really loved reading the books so far and i'm SO impatient for the next book. my original plan was to read all the books (as in the full series, including books not yet written) before i watched the TV show so i didn't have the tv characters in my head when i was reading. but i failed on that and bought the first 3 dvds a few months back and watched them. prefer the books but i have to say the fact i've read the books and most of my friends haven't does make it difficult having conversations with them. i remember being mightily relieved a few weeks ago when a certain episode aired
