Gold ticket query

I bought a gold pass back in December specifically to get some Stan Lee autographs - while browsing the store today I noticed that a Stan Lee exemption has been added to these tickets. Does this retroactively cover those bought before this was added?

Interesting. so I guess we have to get a VQ ticket and take our chances with him. I only bought mine last week and pretty sure that extra info wasn't in the text. Though there's plenty of other guests I want to meet and I always find having the gold pass useful anyway so it's not a major issue for me but I might have thought about it a bit more if the restriction was made clear from the outset. I was under the assumption the only restriction was that gold pass holders wouldn't get into his talk.

Well if you look at the thread about the difference between the Standard Gold Pass and the Comic Gold pass. You have the following statements. Nothing about that Standard goldpassholders doesnt get VQ on Stan Lee.

Sorry if this has already been answered but can i confirm please. As i have a comic gold pass

1. Will i need a seperate ticket for the Sunday Stan Lee Talk

2. priority queuing for any photoshoots and autographs for guests not only stan lee

1. No, this is the one talk you WILL get a ticket for with the comic pass

2. Queuing priority is for all guests with both types of gold pass

Because of the confirmation of Stan Lee we have created a speciality "comic gold pass" which is slightly different to the regular gold pass. Here is what you get with each pass:

Standard gold pass:

free entry for all 3 days

free talk tickets and priority seating (this does not include the Audience with Stan Lee)

Gold pass can be used instead of a virtual queue ticket

priority queuing for photo sessions

access to the gold pass chill out room

autograph pack

NOW SOLD OUT

Comic gold pass:

free entry for all 3 days

access and priority seating at an exclusive evening event with Stan Lee and other comic creators (this does not include other talks)

access to a VIP drinks reception and private meet and greet with Stan Lee on Saturday night

Gold pass can be used instead of a virtual queue ticket

priority queuing for photo sessions

access to the gold pass chill out room

comic themed goody pack

Still Available

Comic Silver Pass

1) Entry for all 3 days of the London Film and Comic Con (6pm Friday, 9am Saturday and Sunday)

2) Access to, and seating behind the gold passes at, an evening event with major comic creators including Stan Lee (Saturday night, time and location to be confirmed. Guests appear subject to work commitments.)

3) A goody bag with some exclusive items.

4) Immediate access to the queues for all comic and media guests. No VQ ticket required.

both of these passes are available now form the online shop HERE.

Well that was not written in when I bought my Pass in december.

This is how im trying to take it... gold pass is still beneficial for me as there are loads of guests I want to meet but Stan is right at the top of that list. Not happy tho as this wasnt originally stated.

Well it is still VERY beneficial, but still... it was said that all VQs are included including Stan Lees. The big difference was the talk and the get together on saturday.

I went gold so I could guarantee getting a few Stan autographs without having to camp overnight, there are other guests there who I'll get but no one I would have gone gold for.

Just hoping SM confirm that either the shop listing is incorrect or that we can swap to silver comic passes

This is disappointing if correct and certainly shouldn't be the case. I'm hoping that us Gold Pass holders can still join Stan's queue without the need for a VQ. Otherwise it is quite unfair in my opinion.

Some clarification from Showmasters is urgently needed on this matter please.

It should be correct but now it seems this exemption has been sneakily added to the short description in the online shop. Of course the ebst way to put minds at ease would be for Showmasters to confirm

I fear that it is the case. Having spent quite a lot of money on the gold pass, I would be highly disappointed in missing out on Stan Lee who is one of the biggest reasons to why I am travelling to LFCC this year.

Simply put, we paid for a Gold Pass which included VQ for every guest atleast it was like that in december (when I bought mine cause I was puzzled which one to get and thought autographs of Stan Lee was good enough) and beginning of Januari as it is posted above from the compare of goldpass thread. Thats what we should get.

Totally agree, I bought mine end of December/beginning of Jan mainly due to the strength of having Stan!

I'm sure theres something in the T&C that means they can change the rules but I think it would make the whole concept of a Gold pass untenable if they actually did it.... ie they could, at any moment after you've bought Gold, decide to introduce an extra "iron pass" which is the only way to jump the queue for any Game of Thrones guests or a "World Cup Pass" which is the only way to avoid the need for VQs for football players

Surely no one would gamble on buying Gold going forward knowing that this could happen

Anyway, hopefully SM will appear at some point and explain this was all a misunderstanding between them and their webmasters.... hopefully......

If I remember from last time the gold ticket holders got let in first before everyone else. If that is still the case you could still go straight to Stan's table and get a VQ ticket and still be at the front. If that is still the case though lol. I do think it is out of order that they have changed what was actually part of the gold ticket. I wanted to get Stan's auto for my brother. I brought the gold tickets as I have arthritis in both knees, and I am going to be in a huge amount of pain as it is. Now I may not be able to do that as I have mostly photo ops, and I really want to do everything on the Sat as I probably will be barely walking on the Sunday. I may not have to miss out on this auto (I was only getting 2 autos). (ooops that should have said I may have to miss out now.)

One of my reasons for going Gold was that it meant I could travel up on the morning of the show (from Cardiff) - if I need to get a Stan Lee queue ticket then I'll have to come up the night before and find a hotel (as otherwise I cant guarantee I'll be there early enough)

Gotta say that this doesn't sit well with me - I know we as Golds can still get in early and get VQs but that is beside the point. I also know that it is only 1 guest out of 50+ charging for autographs so we'll still get a lot out of the deal but changing the rules after the fact is in my book low (even if it is only a small thing.)

I would never have thought to check my gold pass booking before the event at this stage - I have been charged and have the pdf printout already done and waiting to go... so hearing this now from a 3rd party, well, let's just say i'm dissapointed and leave it at that. :crying:

Looking forward to hearing from SM on this...

I think it says all Gold and Silver passes can join any auto queue as long as the queue is small enough, With Stan Lee and his final european convention, I don't think it will be small after 10am

Unless this is another new rule this has never been my understanding - the whole point of the ticket is that it means you turn up whenever you want and still get all your autographs
