sammyromie
Roughly, I know that you can't give me a date, but I'd like to know if there's chance for me that I would learn soon enough before the weekend, if some of the shoots are Sunday afternoon. I'm thinking of ditching Chevron for one afternoon and to go to this for shoots.

capbiker
Why would people get nervous about events? I can understand if it is there first one and they ain't too sure what to expect. If it is not because of that, then what?
maggiem
Why would people get nervous about events? I can understand if it is there first one and they ain't too sure what to expect. If it is not because of that, then what? I think it's because for this one, we waited about 12 months from the first announcement to actually getting a venue and a date. It's also a big event, not your usual hotel-based con, and probably won't run again, at least in the UK. People just don't want anything to go belly-up at the last minute. twiga
Also I was kind of joking!! The only reason I'm a little eager to get the schedule is because I have bought talk tickets but do not yet know if I can attend the talk due to crewing commitments for half of Saturday! So I had to risk buying the ticket anyway in case they sold out. I've just got my fingers crossed that the Benedict talk is in the afternoon!! It's more suspense than nerves!! Raylenth
Why would people get nervous about events? I can understand if it is there first one and they ain't too sure what to expect. If it is not because of that, then what? Because I'm excited about finally going to Sherlocked and a little nervous about meeting the group of people I've admired for a long time and don't want to make a prat of myself in front of them Yes I've been to tons of events since my first in 1994 but I still get a little nervous when I meet the people I'm most excited about. Sassy1988
Why would people get nervous about events? I can understand if it is there first one and they ain't too sure what to expect. If it is not because of that, then what? I tend to get nervous due to various things and I have been attending cons since 2008 and still get nervous. I get nervous due to spending money on it and thus I worry it may go wrong or I may miss out due to whatever so I worry about that its a mix of worry and nerves for me. What if a photoshoot doesn't happen due to whatever reason or I cant get an auto for whatever reason or something This is the first time I have ever gone for a photo op as its usually an over the table thing for me so I'm worried about that For me being Autistic means I'm very socially anxious and hate big crowds of people so I also worry about that and if I end up embarrassing myself in front of people I like and have admired for a long time. I love meeting guests I like a lot but it is nerve racking for me and the big crowds I know I have to put myself through in order to meet these people Also I always look at it as a once in a life time opportunity meaning you might never get to meet the guests you go to meet ever again Usually cons go okay for me in the end and I usually get what I want out of them but still the worry and nerves are still there and I think its a normal thing for people to get nervous about these sorts of things before hand Sorry if this seems a little bizarre or whatever but I'm finding it rather hard to think and concentrate its that damn hot here and it doesn't help that I keep looking at pictures of Benedict and Andrew at mo in my continuous plans of trying to get myself organized but I just had to comment on this now where was I..
MildGrooveOn
I get so easily star struck. And I'm in a country I've never been to. On a continent I've never been to. Alone. In casual personal space of humans from a show I positivley love. Among fans of a show I positively love. O____O
jhw
I've decided that whatever this is that I'm feeling, I'm going to label it "excited" rather than "nervous."
Marty Mcfly
I can totally understand the nerves. I always get nervous when meeting my heroes at cons, not sure why I just do. It's the same whenever I go to a big football match too, maybe not in the same way. But both very enjoyable things I look forward too.
LillyCumming
I do not have my Photo Shoot Allocation email so have no idea what's happening and can't plan anything. Can somebody get back to me PLEASE, AS A MATTER OF URGENCY, for this info to be sent to me prior to the Convention. Have Gold Ticket. Getting very anxious that I'll miss everything! Already posted earlier in this thread but still no email. Thanks.
PrehistoricCat
Lily, if you have gold you're either group C or group D. One of the mods did post that the group C allocation sold in the first 48 hours or so, so if you got your ticket when they first went on sale you're likely to be group C.... after that you're group D. If you don't get a definite confirmation, work out both schedules and then you'll at least be prepared when you collect your pack at registration
LillyCumming
Thanks, PrehistoricCat! It's helpful to know I'm in group C. Just want to know what "batches" I've been placed in. Getting close now ..... :)
Murph
I posted elsewhere to let you know you'll be in Group C 😀You should send an email to let them know you've not had your allocation email. tickets@sherlocked.com
LillyCumming
Thank you, Murph. I sent them an email on Friday evening and awaiting their reply.

Getting close now ..... :) The batches were only for buying photo ops individually. If you bought any of those, the batch number you bought would be on your photo op tickets and listed on your account page at Eventbrite.
LillyCumming
Ah, I understand. I didn't buy any extra photos. So, I need only know what my Group is and have not been allocated a slot at this stage?
