  1. smuggle a cat on board, get frozen, then get your 'friend' to mess up replacing the drive plates. ::end of fanboyism::
  2. I stayed at 'The Grand' ..it was anything but grand, however the young receptionist was nice. It is 2 minutes walk from the venue, pretty much opposite the ibis. Old school hotel with real keys and key holes! It was £70 for 2 nights, which was oh kay, no food provided, but microwave was in the room.
  3. Here are my comments. Moderator Having a question bank for when the room goes quiet is a good idea, maybe those shy people can post questions on the forum, so the moderator can use them when questions from the crowd die down. The Moderator himself seem to be sucking out any excitement. Next time have additional moderators so he doesn't get tired. On several occassions he sounded bored! Schedule The schedule is good. Obviously if we know when we are to be places, then that would be good. However that point was made at the show itself, and was actioned on Sunday. It would be good to have some additional 'filler events' whilst certain groups are collecting autographs etc.. If we have been put in to groups, lets use it for some competition or some fun games...or even watch some episodes of heroes! Still enjoyed myself and met some really good people.
  4. 3 mins if driving, however if you are public transport(ing) it, the walk will be longer and along a dual carriage way. I looked at Langham, but went for 'The Grand Hotel' as it is closer to the Park inn. To be honest it was tough finding anything out about the Grand Hotel, which may be a warning.
  5. I would be looking at any of the 14 hundred times. I have been caught a couple of times taking a train which my ticket did not cover. I bought a supersaver, and some trains you have to pay more depending on what time they get in.
  6. Well the 'Grand Hotel' need me in before 4pm, so that limits me. So Woking to Waterloo, then Waterloo to Euston. So leaving Euston at 14.22. Looks like we all have a train each!
  7. Going solo here as well. Just booked in to the Grand Hotel, which seems as close to Park Inn as Ibis is.
  8. I will probably leave the dress suit jacket at home. I think it will be far too hot with lots of people in a small place, looking to replace the jacket with one of those suit cardigans that all those cool shops sell!
  9. Hello! My name is Samuel, I am 29 and from Lightwater. I first went to a convention in 2001, it was a Xena one, then more recently my show was Alias, and now it is Heroes! In general day work, I am a Mortgage Adviser for Barclays. I am attending Heroes alone, so welcome me! My favourite heroes characters are Nikki and HRG. My taste in music ranges from Kenny Loggins (I'm alright - the theme from caddy shack) to pretty much anything around now. Highly recommend rebeldjs.com for their mash up tracks. I am looking forward to the convention, and meeting all you guys and girls there. ..and you are?
  10. I will be coming up from the South East. Will be going by train to Northampton train station, then...well I really need to sort out some accomodation soon
