Yeah there would still be a wait regardless of how close the shop is. There is a big retail park just the other side of the roundabout to ikea. Tesco and mattalan one side, next clearance, tk maxx, boots, brantano and argos on the other.

There is a boots in a retail park just behind ikea, if they took then there it would only take a matter of minutes to get there.

Hey, I fly to Glasgow a lot from London Luton airport. I use easyjet as they are fairly cheap, especially when they have their sales. Easybus also have a transfer from the airport to central london for £2, the transfer is quite long though being an hour and 20 minutes, the site is www.easybus.co.uk. incase you wanted to check it out!

I don't think Middleton Hall is going to be used for permanent shops, I thinks it's the wings down each side of John Lewis that will no longer be available and therefore would restrict SM in what they'd like to do. Also, the stadium DOES currently have a large area available, it has a giant ballroom open. Where did you hear that from? Seems unlikely to me, as the football season scedule is only announced around July time, leaving little time to arrange a date I used to work for the centre:mk, and there were never any plans to put shops in Middleton Hall. They use it for too many events throughout the year, its hardly ever empty and they put so much time and effort into their Christmas Displays each year. I heard John Lewis were unhappy with the Collectormania events. I know they complained a few years back about the queues blocking their enterances, and I guess they get annoyed with people wandering throught their store and shoppers not being about to reach the shop due to the crowds surrounding it! I know many locals stayed away from the centre on Collectormania weekends! I personally will miss the event in the centre, Like others have said, it was the atmosphere and the convenience of having shops and food outlets to hand. I've attended every Collectormania since C2 and have loved every minute. The crowds, the queuing and the random shoppers are all part of collectormania mk! I will miss it!

I drive from Milton Keynes to Glasgow quite regularly so i could give you a rough guide as London is about another hour from MK. It usually takes a full tank in my 1.2 clio and the last time I did it cost me £50 one way. I did use less going up but took a lot of the back roads and did 50mph rather than the motorway doing 70+mph. Depending on the car and the speed you do, you could probably just about do it on a tank but i'd say on petrol prices now, it would cost about £60-£70 one way.

There was a guy with an orange bike 3 behind me. I had ticket 38. I remember him because he lay down on the floor and went to sleep while we were queuing outside.

To be honest i've never understood either why people were banned taking photos whilst queuing. You are standing, waiting in a line. Not holding anyone up and not disturbing the guest. What harm can it do? Maybe there is a reason that has been posted before, but if there was I missed it. I was very disappointed with at LFCC. I have a photo of Elijah, Sean and Billy signing my photo of the 4 hobbits, But not of Dom which is a shame. It's not as if i'd have disturbed him signing, he wouldnt have even needed to look up! Again, maybe there was a valid reason...

Half the time is Collectormania attendies causing mayhem in the aisles. I watched as the centre and collectormania security tried to disperse the crowd that had gathered around the green room waiting for John to come back from his break, these people were not your average shoppers gawping. The crowds didnt move and continues to gather round, cameras aimed at the door. I watched as many shoppers entered the centre and turned back round rather than attempt to get through the crowd. The funniest thing was, John wasn't in the green room. As I stood futhur away by the doors minding my own business, John was walked back through, walked straight past me! Shame I didn't have my camera ready as he walked literally half a metre past!! After that I walked out of the centre and Natalia was sitting on the floor out side having a cigarette!

Love to know how you managed that - I got there at 6:50 and was ticket number 48 for Eve and 67 for John. Both personnalised my autographs and both were lovely. John was clearly doing his best to get through his huge queue, but still took the time to speak to everyone. I was wondering how they managed to get there at half 8 and get such low numbers, unless they joined someone who was at the front of the queue!?! I was there at 6am and got ticket 38
