Aldrin
Loadsa hotels in Birmingham city centre, 15 minutes up the line, if you can't get a hotel nearby to the event. Last trains from B'ham International to New Street on Friday (or should I say early hours of Saturday) at 0021 and 0129. Last train Saturday night 2348. Bob dob
Doh! Thanks for that. Isn't there a hotel at the event?
Moderators etmuse Posted October 8, 2012 Moderators Share Posted October 8, 2012 The event is being held IN a hotel, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. I don't know if there are rooms left at the discount convention rate, but there are almost certainly some rooms left at the hotel in general. giuseppe1969
I am staying at the always good and reliable Premier Inn, NEC. They might still have rooms available.
Count Fooku
If you haven't tried the metropole yet I would make that your first port of call, if there are any discounted rooms still available then its probably as good a price on a room as you'll get anywhere in the area. Personally I always find it useful being on site as well, means you have somewhere to go if you want to take a break at any point in the day. Breakfasts are good there as well! 18blue78
There are a couple of hotels at Birmingham Airport which is next to the NEC. Just a Monorail ride away. P.S. my 200th post...only taken a little over 5 years!!! Edited October 9, 2012 by 18blue78
Count Fooku
I thought we'd lost Dave for a moment there, I had a horrible feeling we'd turn up for the show and find him prancing about dressed like Robert Smith from The Cure!
Samphirette
Isn't there a hotel at the event? If you haven't already tried within the last few days, see this page with the Venue hotel booking code on for the Hilton Metropole where it's taking place http://autographica.co.uk/venue.htmRates are Single £72 B&B Twin or Double £86.40 B&B Otherwise the airport hotels mentioned above Etap/Ibis if still available are probably logicistically your next bet. There's a free monorail from the airport to the railway station, then at the railway station there's a Hilton hotel bus that stops through every 30 minutes.
