Is your Con bag packed already?

Recommended Posts

I've packed my man bag for this Con already and check it on a weekly basis that I've got everything! My man bag contains:

Entry Tickets

Old store photoshoot tickets

Printed E-Tickets (for insurance!)

15 Autograph holders

Printed directions to Olympia from Barron's Court

Portable charger (will be charging this again the day before)

Tube map

Bottled water.

Have you guys got your bag/pack ready yet? :)

I just need to buy a couple more photoshoot tickets and then find out how to get to Olympia. When it was at EC, i just got the tube from King Cross straight to Earls Court and then walk. Is Olympia within walking distance? Not been there before

Got my man bag, some water and a bag to carry all the items in, probably all i'll need. Oh and the tickets and stuff, of course.

Nah I pack the night before. Take a manbag/backpack with tickets, water, map/photoshoot schedules as I am only going for the photoshoots but you get an autograph as part of the Robert Englund diamond package, so that's all good. I can't afford all the good things which are happening this year. I regret not meeting MJF, but the other guests are just as exciting. :)

I'm tracking my (rapidly growing) costs on an Excel document and keeping notes of photoshoots I have to buy. That's about it for now until the schedule comes out (at which point I start planning my day with military precision). Apart from that, I don't start putting stuff together until a day or two before, but I know where everything is.

By far the trickiest day for me will be Saturday, so will have to pay attention to the schedule. Fri and Sun are fine as none of the guests (apart from the ones I already have) are diamond, so photo shoots should be a breeze. They should be fine for Sat, too.

Nope, I won't be packing till at least five days before the event. ( Well everything except food. That will probably be bought the day before the event and packed then)

I think my list is similar this bar the portable charger ( I have a relic of a phone which I'll charge up and will last a while...), Directions And the tube map , ( Since i can't take the usual route and have to go by bus! )

My list (bar the portable charger) is virtually the same, though travelling from Basingstoke, its a breeze really. I haven't fully decided what time I'm gonna travel, though.... I plan to be at olympia at least 1 hour before the doors open, though with a gold pass and dependant on the schedule, wondering if this is entirely necessary. I will look at the schedule and make my mind up as with a gold pass, no need to turn up early, particularly on Fri as the guests I want to meet aren't diamond guests so having a gold pass should (barring clashes), make things relatively straightforward and then I can go to the hotel and prepare for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is when I meet my diamond guest, Rob Englund. Saturday I am meeting Sigourney Weaver and Christopher Lloyd. SOOO excited. Bring it!

Packing over 3 weeks in advance for a weekend in London?

This is night before job. I can't commit a pair of boxers to a bag for that amount of time...

I was thinking exactly the same about my bra.... :whistling:

Behave, haha.

Well I have had to have a major sort out and things have had to be sold so that I could afford the photoshoots ... Clothes being one of those things...lol...

My first con too Mike. I am a little nervous if truth be told and am not a fan of crowds. Queues I have no issue with. However, I've looked at youtube videos of the 2014 convention and what it was like inside the convention hall and it didn't look that bad, certainly enough space to move around and not feel too cramped. Should be fine. With a gold pass, it should be a breeze.

I don't have just the one pair of boxers mind  The idea of commando in jeans for 3 weeks while my sole item of underwear sits in a bag waiting for LFCC makes me uncomfortable just thinking about it...

Sounds like a heavy backpack. Just for those who may not be aware, autograph holders should be of archival quality and made from polyester. It is what my autograph holders are made from and my autographs thus far, have benefitted. Sorry if everyone is already aware, just trying to be helpful.

I have a hard-cover document holder in which I've started putting things; tickets, photos and cash.

Other than that, my bag is still packed with geeky goodness (lightsaber, GL power rings, dice, etc) from the last Con. :-D

As for clothes, etc, that'll have to wait until the last minute.
