  1. Wow! I go away from this forum having been way too busy at work to go online (and not wanting to go near a PC when I get home) ..... I come online and find these announcements! Yay Showmasters .... I may have to leave the cosiness of MK Collectormanias and head on up to Manchester. This G-Mex one is looking brilliant!
  2. Possibly going to Upton Park on Sunday, not too sure. Was given the list by a photographer friend and the celebs other than James and Oliver there look okay ... Really depends on cost and time :-(
  3. Maybe I will get there for 6pm then! Strange as my friend who pre-ordered for the OoTP was adamant there was hardly anyone there .... then again, she might not have been waiting outside Ottakers - it could have been WHSmith or Waterstones.
  4. Definitely agree with you there!!!
  5. I've pre-ordered at Ottakers, so I was going to be there for the midnight opening. A friend of mine did it for the Order of the Phoenix and said that only a handful of people were outside waiting, so I don't know about getting there for 5pm as mentioned on the first post. So I'm planning on 10.30pm or 11.00pm, but can I still meet up if the queue's not too insane? I don't want to get hexed for looking like I'm queue jumping! ;-) I don't think I'll be dressing up though .... I'm not the world's greatest person with a needle and thread (or a sewing machine), but I'll try and find a black cloak just for fun
  6. Oooh, yes, Jason Isaacs. He would definitely be worth getting up early for
  7. Thanks for all the info
  8. I know what you mean about getting goosebumps. Hubby thought I was crazy when I watched it at home on the net last night! It's not until they show them film by film when you really do realise how much they've changed, especially Daniel Radcliffe. He looks so young in The Philospher's Stone now. Cannot wait until November!
  9. I've always wondered how you get to crew at CollectorMania. Is there a list I can add my name to?
  10. Yay for a Hobbit reunion ......... to include Sir Ian Holm and Andy Serkis please. In fact, let's just rename it Hobbitmania and have a shopping centre full of hobbits! Only kidding
  11. What's going on with laying on top of a toilet cubicle .........?? Wait till the hockey lads find out
  12. Kudos to him for doing the circuit for so long. A wonderful, kind and approachable man. But he deserves to relax back home in gorgeous New Zealand and recharge his batteries. I'm sure he'll get tempted back out again after a year.
  13. I had JRD, Sean Astin and Lawrence Makaore sign by Ringers t-shirt. I'd already got Bernard Hill's signature (along with Karl Urban) on it at the another show last year. Hoping to add more as time wears on!
  14. Can I plead with Showmasters never to use Easy Cinema for a talk again. I know it wasn't your fault that the venue was terrible but I'd like to point out a few of the problems: 1) the lighting .......... absolutely pants. 2) the fact that the seating isn't raked (?) enough for people to see near the front, especially as Lawrence, Kiran, Sean and John were sitting down 3) if they're sitting down, it would've been fine had they been on the stage Guess I was spoilt last year (which was my first talk) as it was at the theatre, which meant miles better lighting (to the point where flash photography wasn't needed at all) and that they were raised up on a stage so everyone could see them. Please assure us that you won't use Easy Cinema again unless the lighting is sorted and the people at the front who we're all there to see are sitting on a raised platform It's such as shame because the talk itself was fun and a good laugh, just spoilt by the fact the photos taken were terrible.
