Newcastle shop moving to new e-Ticketing system!

Recommended Posts

Over the next few months we will gradually be moving all of our Showmasters ticketing over to the EventBrite ticketing system, which we are currently using on the Sherlocked event.

By using this new E-ticketing system you’ll be able to pay online and receive your tickets instantly, to then print at home and bring along to the event, making things much quicker and easier for everyone.

Some things to be aware of:

1: There is an e-Ticket validation fee of £2.50 per order. At present this needs to be manually added to each order on the order confirmation page where you enter your card details. Not paying this fee will result in your e-tickets to not be valid at the event.

2: We will be running both ticketing systems at some shows to start with as tickets have already been sold on the old system.

Brilliant! Eventbrite is *so* much easier to use than the old shop.

One point about your child tickets though: it says child ticket is for 5-12 years and under 4 is free. So what about age range 4-5? The wording should probably be either "under 5 free" or "child ticket 4-12 years"! Given that my daughter is currently 4-5 I don't know what to do!

Thanks, We're sorting that. It will now say 4-12 for child tickets.

I can't seem to order using my Maestro card, is it possible to pay with it or can i pay with paypal?.

The store only accepts the payment methods listed (American Express, Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard), sorry.

Will the tickets for all the Stars still be on sale in person?

Autographs can only be bought on the day so yes they will all be available on the day.

Photo shoots can sell out in advance although at smaller local shows like Newcastle it's unusual. So although we can't guarantee there will be photo shoot tickets available for ALL guests on the day, it is likely.

  • 2 weeks later...

I ordered my tickets on the 16th Feb, before the e-ticket system was in place but I haven't received my tickets yet. I can find my order on my debit card but cannot find any email confirmation from showmasters.

Spam filter would be the most likely culprit there for the e-mail not arriving. Does the charge on your credit card show the order number? I'd give it one more week and then contact the store.

We've bought 4 photo tickets from the new event bright system (these are going between 2 people) and it said I needed to buy a E-Validation ticket to print off which I've bought and printed. Do i only need one copy of this printed for the event ?

No - it just has a the payment name as collecamania and then a 4 digit number but this number appears on a few other payments so isn't a unique ref no. Never had a problem with tickets before so never contacted the store - whats the best way to contact them?

I wouldn't worry too much - for now!

I've placed orders nearing a total of £2K with Showmasters across 2x events (LFCC and NFCC) via 3x orders (7th Feb, 9th Feb and 16th Feb), and so far have received nothing in the post either!

Would be better if the online account / order info gave confirmed dispatch dates, rather than just token placeholder info.

Is it still possible to view the status of any outstanding orders in the "old" store? If so what is the link? Like Marky242 I do not have a confirmation e-mail although the payment was taking of my account, without an order number however. I could always view any outstanding orders in the webstore but now the website refers you to the new e-ticketing store.

EDIT: I have already googled it and found it and I managed to download the packing slip :whistling: :coolthumb:

I've managed to get in to the old store and find my order, which I've printed out just in case. It does say packing slip date 3/3/15 so hopefully they should be delivered in next couple of days.

I have ordered my E tickets and thought I had done everything ok including the £2.50 and have my e ticket but doesn't quote the £2.50, how do I check if my tickets will work?

Does your order confirmation include the £2.50 validation? If yes, all is good. If no, you'll get an email in the next week or so to sort it out.

Just a quick follow-up to my last posts in this thread, after sending a quick email to shop@showmastersevents.com on Thursday, I received 2 of my 3 ticket orders from the 'old' shop yesterday, and the final order arrived today!

Thanks SM!!
