Raylenth Posted June 23, 2016 Share Posted June 23, 2016 Not sure if it was their first event but the first LFCC was in March 2004 at Wembley and I went to it! My collecting focus has always been fairly narrow but when I look back at some of the guests they've had that I had no interest in whatsoever I could kick myself now! I've also a terrible memory so all I can vaguely remember was thinking it was a long way to slog to Wembley and wasn't it an awfully early start! Nothing in comparison to now really! Also met Dave Prowse (gave him a pack of Tunes which he said would help him with his singing), Michael Sheard (who spoke about German fans wanting him to sign photos of him as Hitler in The Last Crusade), Mike Edmonds, and Ray Park. Was recommend the event by a friend who was going as a trader because it had Lord of The Rings guests at it (huge LOTR fan). Went with two friends and my brother and had a blast. Did them regularly up till 2008 when I decided to check out some anime events. Still did LFCCs. Pretty sure the first SM event was 2002 as I know a few people who went to it. Beyond that I don't know much about it. Have actually attended conventions since 1990 but didn't discover the more trade/collector style show until SM.
