Thanks to Showmasters for organising a great event at Newcastle.

Staff and security were excellent.

I have a good day on Saturday.

Thanks.

Great to see someone had a good time.

The only posts you'll see will be from people that had a good time as the thread for people who weren't happy, which was much bigger than this, has been removed it seems.

I guess we've all got to remember that this is a Showmasters ran (& paid for) website and forum.

It is not a democratically run forum like many others on the internet - it is solely a marketing and advertising tool for SM.

When this event is archived Showmasters don't want prospective new attendees to be put off by any negative - but true - comments that may have been offered by paying attendees to previous events.

SM have always reacted badly to criticism, so I tend to find Facebook is a better - and far less biased - place to read about peoples' honest experiences and opinions.

I agree with the above. Big thanks to everyone who made the event possible. f&l.

Glad to see you enjoyed yourself. Hopefully 2016 will see my health better and allow me to do some of the smaller more regional events. I find the quieter ones easier to get around. I also fidn the smaller events just starting out having the not so well known guests I want to meet. I usually avoid the more well known to the pubic guests who appear on talk shwos to promote films etc as it is just too busy and feels more like a conveyor belt. I prefer a proper weekend convention like Chevron etc as the atmosphere is more relaxed and attendees tend to be more chilled out and courteous. But from time to time the signing events throw up a guest I would love to meet. I had this many years ago when now Hollywood A Lister Jeremy Renner (Avengers etc) was at a fan convention for Buffy and Angel. He was only in one episode but was a really nice person to meet. But hey, I guess tastes vary and everyone enjoys or does not enjoy certain aspects of the fan eventing scene. But the main thing is that you enjoyed it.

I'll just add that the thread in question hasn't been removed, SM do take on board comments and opinions unfortunately that particular thread descended into being both rude mainly due to bad language and completely unconstructive so has been hidden for the time being, this is done generally to edit out rude/offensive comments.
