Queen_Sindel
Hello, and welcome to the forum! I think Charlie has pretty much covered everything you wanted to know. But I can answer your concerns about the group photo. This is not a photo of you with the guests, it is just a photo of the guests that you can pick up at registration Sunday morning. Both Gold Ticket holders and Silver Ticket holders do get one. Someone has asked about that in another section if you want to check it out - I also posted a photo that was given out at an earlier event there: http://showmastersonline.com/forums/index....showtopic=55580

Did you try to call Monday to Friday, or did you try yesterday? I've been to the Thistle a couple of times before, and there are sometimes a bit chaotic. Then they will transfer you to general reservations on the weekend and during busy times. General Reservations does not have an idea bout the event, you need to speak to in house reservations. It's shortly before the Holidays and from experience in house reservation is alway a bit difficult to reach. I'd try again (possibly wait til January unles you really want things settled), or maybe write an e-mail to the address given on the venue page of the event site: heather.brown@thistle.co.uk

Queen_Sindel
Then they are being chaotic again. Even with that number you can end up with General Reservations. Just try again and when someone picks up make sure you ask if you are speaking to in house reservations. That has happened before. When you've attended a number of events at that hotel you get used to that. Edited December 20, 2009 by Queen_Sindel

Queen_Sindel
No, you definitely did not have the wrong hotel. There's only one Thistle at Heathrow. That was more a misinformed person at reception. Sometimes they don't look at the right place for the event listing, or they try to look up with a different word - I've had it happen that someone searched for a congress - and when they don't find the listing they rather tell you "we don't have this event here" than looking more closely.
