Although I dont know why, but it doesnt seem right to name it the 'We would do Billy society' cos he seems too sweet and innocent--although I cant make judgement on that!! So if you can think of an appropriate name you can be in charge of our slogans and promotion!!

THEY journeyed to the edge of darkness to destroy the precious ring... and then the brave little hobbits hit a New York strip club. During a wild night of partying in the Big Apple, Scots actor Billy Boyd led a horde of hobbits from the Lord of the Rings movies including co-star Elijah Wood.

And within minutes of crashing into a celebrity lapdance club, Billy was up on a table doing his own dirty dancing.

Billy, 35, was in the exclusive Scores club, where Demi Moore learned to dance for her film Striptease and where the waitresses wear tiny tartan skirts.

He urged the girls to watch him strip, yelling: ''Hey, I'm from Glasgow. What are you wearing under those kilts?''

He then invited a Britney Spears lookalike called Talia to join him for some private dancing in the ladies' loo.

Billy had to be calmed down by the more sober Elijah.

When staff at the Manhattan club realised that they had been invaded by a horde of hobbits, they quickly ushered them into the VIP Room.

There, surrounded by a dozen topless girls, Billy, who plays Pippin Took in the Rings films knocked back bottles of beer.

Then he threw $20 bills around as he invited the girls to watch him strip.

''He leapt on the tables and the sofas, peeling off his jacket and unbuttoning his white shirt, '' said 21-year-old Talia.

''Then, like a real stripper, he did a saucy little routine as he stripped off his shirt and started to unzip his trousers.

''He'd only been in the place a few minutes when he grabbed my hand and said 'Let's go into the bathroom'.

'' I don't know what he thought he was going to get but I told him to stop it.

''Then he asked me to dance for Elijah, saying his pal had refused to go to a lap dancing club on his 21st birthday and now he was determined to make a man out of him.''

But Elijah appeared more taken with a blonde waitress called Nicole and spent most of the night looking into her eyes before giving her his phone number.

But he did look up long enough to get a neck and shoulder massage from blonde Bolivian beauty Gabriella, 22, and pose for a snapshot with her and fellow-masseuse Justine.

The Rings stars, along with other actors who played secondary hobbits in the trilogy, arrived at Scores just after 2 am. They were all dressed in smart suits after attending an awards ceremony.

In between dancing and drinking, Billy chatted up other dancers, including busty Bryn. He was also very taken with curvy Claudine, who appeared on the cover of British Playboy three years ago.

At 4.30 am with the lights on and the cleaners working round them Billy still wanted to party and waitress Jennifer, 23, had to tell him the bar was closed.

Billy joked that he hadn't perfected his dance routines, then jumped up on a sofa and did another quick striptease.

Jennifer said: ''He was very funny and very drunk.

''We thought Colin Farrell was wild when he came in here. But he was well-behaved compared to Billy. What is it about those Celts?''

Billy and Elijah have been firm friends since they started filming Lord of the Rings in New Zealand.

But they infuriated New Zealand-born director Peter Jackson when they climbed to the top of a famous fountain during a drunken night out in Wellington and relieved themselves into the water.
