i have no problem with ginger, but rupert grint? come on, behave lol, I dont think he is the worlds finest actor but he is also too young and cant pull off being older inside in the way matt smith can, IMO.

 

hugh is also a very good actor, hes a bit older also which is I feel what the show needs,

ben daniels would be interesting, he is a bit older and although ive seen very little of him what ive seen from law and order uk is good, he has a presense, a comanding voice.

to be honest though, id rather it be an older male who would attend conventions, the problem with hugh and chiwetel i think is they are pusing A lister, they are always in demand in hollywood or similar.

I think if we are going to go with an older Doc I would suggest Robert Llewellyn but the thing is with Rob at the helm there would be no more Kryten the other suggestion I like is Paterson Joseph he would be good Colin Salmon is another good choice and Burn Gorman as much as I like him he is to well no known as Owen Harper from Torchwood

it needs someone with range, a lot of the names being banded about are fine actors but imo some with limited range but if they do have that range, they must also has presence, gravity also.

If he hadn't had an extended role (unlike Colin Baker's first appearance) in a previous episode I would have liked to see Anthony Head in the role.
