WOW!!! What a great potential line-up of guests!! My vote has been cast and now I will wait eagerly to hear who is coming to RC UK.

 

Will be great to see old friends again - both guests and con-goers. I am feeling thoroughly spoilt this year - Ring Con Germany then Ring Con UK.... within just a few weeks of eachother. Think I need to pinch myself - I must be dreaming!!

It's tough to choose, though I tried to pick guests who have been in other films and shows I like as well. The first choice was very difficult - I'd like to see Elijah Wood, Liv Tyler, Christopher Lee and Sir Ian Mckellen as they have all played roles I admired in other films as well as LOTR. I picked Ian Holm from the first choice category because he was also in Alien and played Frodo in the BBC radio version of LOTR, Marton Csokas because he was also in Star Wars: Episode 2, and John Rhys-Davies because he was also in the Indiana Jones films and Star Trek: Voyager. Will it be possible to got non-LOTR pictures signed at this event?

The free show pictures are likely to be mainly LOTR, but you'll be able to get other pictures signed if you want to.

Definitely people who haven't signed before such as Ian Holm, Marton Csokas, and Sir Ian Mckellen (even though I have his) and even the Weta team i.e. swordmakers to sign lotr weapons etc.

I wrote to Sarah McCleod recently and not only did she return TWO signed pictures, she wrote me a personal letter as well!!

 

Get her to another show, she will be a great guest, and if she can't make another show any other SM event will do...

I have to say that Sarah is an EXCELLENT panalist. I thoroughly enjoyed eveything she had to say and she's so talented. She funny and genuinely enjoys meeting the public. I've met her twice, the first she taught my son to Hobbit Dance and the second she had my daughter on stage for the alternative ending to Return of the King. I have very treasured memories and it would be fantastic to get another photo with her again and the children, I'm starting to have quite a collection!

 

Though I gotta say that making the choices in the first section was very hard showmasters! I would love two if not three of the guests mentioned from there - I am now going to be big headed and say that I've met all of section two (though one I didn't get an autograph of I must admit).

 

Section three was harder, but I am sad that there are still a couple of smaller actors that aren't mentioned. I can't wait to see the line up that you guys will get though, I am so excited I just pee'd my pants. Nice eh?

Hey Noddy, I just had a look through your old posts. Do you have anything good to say at all?

 

As to some of the guests being totally unrealistic HOW WOULD YOU KNOW?

 

I book the guests and I talk to the agents and I can tell you now none off the guests are unrealistic

 

We do not just put up the credit list from a film: it is possible to get all these guests at some times and of course not all at the same show.

 

Just remember we got 3 out of the 4 hobbits and Andy Serkis a month before the last LotR film came out and the world press could not believe we had them. They were as hot as the Beetles at that time.

 

So by now you should not underestimate who we can get. If we had your attitude we would just go for guests that are on the signing circuit and Collectormaina would not exist and the fans would not have met the 250 1st time signers we have brought to the shows over the years.

 

Its easy to trash but hard to act
