The intention is to go back to the Bond which Fleming wrote about, i.e. a bit darker (not the hair!) and a bit tougher, much like Timothy Dalton's portrayal. Â Whilst I think Peirce Brosnan was a great Bond, his films have concentrated too much on gadgets and computerised special effects - something the older Bond films never did. Â To be fair though I will wait and see what Daniel does with the part, but I think Bond is better on the big screen played by a big personality, rather than a good actor, of course if you get both all the better. Â I hope he makes it a success, we have been waiting ages for another Bond movie, so finally glad they sorted out who they were going to get.
