  1. Would love to see Eric Brown again if possible? A wonderfully interesting chap.
  2. I think too some extent this is the nature of beast. Not all collectors can attend a convention so some people will always exploit this situation to turn a quick profit; it's simple market forces. I suffer from this like the rest in that to a degree it inflates the cost of an autograph, though again this could be seen to reflect the true market rate. I've never sold an autograph I've obtained as for me it tells a story of how I came to meet that person, it has some personal value. For others, including showmasters this is a way of making a living and I respect that.
  3. Hia Lizzy it's the title page from a book of photographs called 'Full Moon' by Michael Light. The page is black but seems to pick up a gold hew under normal house lighting. It's a really nice book of relatively unknown photographs from the Apollo program that have been combined into a photo essay. It's really quite a good coffee table book and the images are simply quite beautiful. I have also had photographs signed at the same time but thought this would be a nice way to keep a group of signatures together. You're right about the lack of space for remaining though, to be honest I didn't think I'd get this many but hopefully I can squeeze at least one more in. Ken
  4. Not an astronaut but.... Gene Krantz
  5. Several years of Autographica have got to this stage. Sadly I missed Gene Cernan but aim to put that right in the future. It's a real testament to Dave and Garry (and all the others at Showmasters) that I've been fortunate enough to meet these guys. 7 years ago I wouldn't have thought it possible.
  6. I missed Gene Cernan so I'd like to see him come back. A couple more names though are Bob Crippen Story Musgrave Gordon Fullerton Joe engle Hoot Gibson I'm sure I've missed someone..... Ken
  7. I got to the hotel around 11:30 hrs this morning to find there were no queues for both Dave Scott and Jim McDivitt. I quickly got both signatures and had some time to chat with Dave Scott who was very personable. I didn't meet Tony Curtis, but am now regretting it, but I did notice the queue for his autograph grew greatly after 13:00hrs. I did get to meet Lindsay Wagner and all I can say is wow; she still looks stunning and was totally charming. I only really go to these things for space guys but it was a real treat to see her and am grateful to her and the organisers for her coming to Autographica. A real pleasant day, congrats to organisers and crew for a making it the event it is. cheers, Ken
  8. Obviously I'm not there today but great news for me that Lalla Ward will be there tomorrow. Shame about the Bernard and Alexandra though, these conventions sometimes seem quite hit and miss as to who turns up. At least all the haedline guys and gals are there.
  9. Yes Paul i can shed some light on it. Tomorrow !!!!!!!!! Seems like you already have on Collectspace. Be nice to see Jim over here, well done.
  10. Probably Jim Lovell then.... Tom Hanks played Jim in Apollo 13 and starred in Big......
  11. Well, the talk on the authorative grapevine is that one Jim Lovell will be attending. A major coup for the guys if this is correct and may I be the first to pass on my congratulations. Ken
  12. Well as for space guests... Dave Scott Gene Cernan Bruce McCandless Fred Haise Rick Searfoss Harrison Schmitt Wally Schirra And maybe some Mission controllers? Gene Krantz Steve Bales Sy Liebergot and.. Guenter Wendt and filmically... Keir Dullea Gary Lockwood
  13. Well it was quiet today, but I used that to my advantage. I went primarily for the space guests; I met them all with very little queueing involved. What was good was that I had time, as did they, to have a chat and have a photograph taken. They were all really pleasant and very talkative. I've seen people say on this forum, that they wished they had more time to interact with the guests; todays show was great for that. By the way, my son wanted to get Michael Winner's autograph so I duely wobbled along. What a thoroughly nice guy he was and again his loquaciousness added to the day. I understand the criticims levelled by some; but you always have the choice whether to attend or not. There are several things I could say about how today's show may have fell short of past autographicas; but on balance I enjoyed it for what it was and it would be therefore somewhat churlish of me to crticise it now. cheers, Ken
  14. Looks like Charlie Duke will be attending again. Ken
