  1. I've been in a couple of these. All proper Star Trek costumes are allowed, not just uniforms, no jeans were the requirement i read in the email sent. Though that did make me wonder... What if you went as Kirk from the campfire scenes from ST5.
  2. I can only speak for friday, i had a very good day in general, but i found the photo ops ticket area vastly understaffed. I wanted 3 photo ops, the queue didn't seem to move at all and i had to leave it for the two sessions i'd prebooked. There was no way i was going to get to the front of the queue in time for 3 sessions i wanted to book. After i'd done the prebooked ones i walked passed the Helen Slater one i wanted to join, and it seemed very quiet. Perhaps some of photo areas could sell the tickets for that guest to relieve some of the numbers of people queueing in the main ticket area.
  3. I had a couple of photos with him, i bent my knees to lower my self down and it looks like we're standing next to each other.
  4. The photo ops were a complete mess! I had Terry Farrell & Stan Lee photo ops prebooked, i was going to buy Helen Slater, Dina Meyer & Dominic Keating. The photo op queue did not move so i asked one of the minions in blue if anything could be done, i needed to go off to my photoshoots, but that didn't leave me time to buy the other sessions i wanted, he said nothing could be done. I walked past a small queue for the Helen Slater session, but i couldn't get a ticket to be in it. There is something very wrong with the current system.
  5. I want my Avengers blu ray signed by him, he created nearly all the characters, he created the team, and he's got a cameo in it.
  6. Hi John, i contacted Guinness about not sending out my other certificate, also i politely mentioned the grammer on the one that'd been sent out. A few days later they sent me an email appologising, and said that they've corrected the grammer and they've resent out the 2 certificates i originally ordered. I got them today, with a nice letter saying that there was a system error which is why the previous certificates had been printed incorrectly. So, you may want to contact them, they may send you out a new one with better grammer, and also there'd be a chance that this one won't end up being bent by your postman.
  7. Has your certificate turned up John? I ordered a couple, but only one came, and the grammer on the certificate seemed odd, i guess they just cut and pasted the title into a 'wizard' and didn't check how it read... participated in the largest gathering of people dressed as Star Trek characters is 1,063 and was achieved by Media 10 Ltd (UK) at ExCel London, London, UK on 20 October 2012 I've contacted them about my missing certificate and about how it was worded, no reply yet.
  8. Thanks for that. Have any of your group ordered one? And if they did, how long did it take to turn up?
  9. I doubt they'd issue 1063 certificates, but it would be good wouldn't it! And i'm not sure how much help this record would be on a C.V., but i'd love to do that too.
  10. I've been checking every now and then just to see if our world record has superseeded the American one on the Guinness site, and when i checked today, it was there: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/8000/largest-gathering-of-people-dressed-as-star-trek-characters So its now verified and official!
  11. I'm glad you got to hear about the William Shatner bridge photoshoot. That really p*ssed me off! I didn't go to the Captains talk where people were informed, and had no idea there even was a William Shatner bridge photoshoot. No sign at the ticket buying area, no sign at the bridge area, no sign at the entrance, nothing online leading up to the event. If you didn't go to the Captains talk, you didn't know about it. That's amateurish.
  12. Hi Jason, I'd like multi guest photoshoots. I'd of loved one last weekend with William Shatner & Patrick Stewart. The 5 captains together in one would of been fantastic. Also Rene Aberjonois & Nana Visitor. Also photoshoots with the actors from the new film and their original counterparts from the old series. The old bridge set again, the TNG bridge set, movie ones too if it's doa-able for photoshoots. ALSO... and this is perhaps my one main gripe about last weekend... if you're going to do a photoshoot with William Shatner on the original bridge, it'd of been nice to of found out during the event not afterwards. I'd of loved one of those, where were the signs? When was the tannoy announcement? If there was one, it can't of been clear. So get him back next year so i can you can do it again. And Leonard Nimoy too. If we lose the world record, a chance to get it back again.
