  1. I had a great time and really enjoyed myself and big thanks to everyone who worked it. one bit of feedback as a first timer is that while staff were helpful a lot are very seasoned and maybe forget that some things that seem obvious and natural aren't so for a first timer. Examples such as red vs blue shirts and what their remit and knowledge is - we see staff, we ask for help so being annoyed that you aren't a red shirt so don't know isn't helpful as we don't know the difference. it'd be great to just remind staff to think of their first time and assume we now nothing (as I probably don't).
  2. Hello!!!!! I was the very over stimulated, over excited lady of the couple. i'm glad you got through I was hoping you did. We technically have ticket 125 to thank for giving me his. You have to love a bit of community spirit to bring everyone together.
  3. There was a trader who got about 10 items in 3 different pen colours during the peak stress of Kevin smith 4-5 and to add insult to injury she didn't even acknowledge him while he did it, or thank him at the end. also a crew member politely asked would I mind if another crew member could go in front of me with her movie poster as she was on her break (I said no problem as you work hard) but then unrolled the poster to reveal 5 more posters with intricate instructions on where to sign and what colour for each. I think the phrase fool me once applies here and I may be a bit more questioning next time.
  4. Kevin was amazing! Only saw him for an Auto on Sunday but I really felt touched by him. despite the queue being giant and pretty much having 6 crew members around him telling him to hurry up he still personalised and chatted (just a lot quicker than he had been) and didn't make you feel rushed. Moreover i believe he got through all those waiting. The Sunday podcast was awesome too - funny and again he snuck in so many extra questions despite being told off. I'd definitely get a diamond for him next year and suggest anyone else who is interested to as there were a few teary faces when it looked like he wouldn't get past VQ 150. also the Po Zu stall were saying they offered him a pair of shoes which he was super excited about but insisted on taking them after general sale to avoid someone not being able to buy a pair and missing out - that is a gentleman!
  5. Massive whoop whoop to the charming guy running Kevin Smith's queue he was sweet and funny and kept us all calm and orderly. also thanks to the 20 or so who helped me navigate the con when my dispraxia would not compute the map.
  6. Kudos to the team (and subsequent additional team) running Kevin Smith today - he went from 1 to the 300s in an hour and a half. Lots of people had left but there was a throng of anxious fans waiting. Sone kind chap gave me his 125 (I was 183 and my OH 184) so we passed our forward to some 200 and 300 fans but I think in the end they may have got through all who stayed to closing. conversely I wish I held my nerve and waited for Mads. I went early as a staff member said he was tired and may leave early but he was free as a bird by 3.30 pm and I could have had a bit more time instead of going at the busiest time (he was still lovely an charming but more time is always a bonus). i definitely agree digital VQ updates would be amazing as lots of people ended up hovering as they weren't sure when or what was happening. however I feel great from the day and know that my diamond pass was worth the money and will get more next time.
  7. Mads Mikkelsen- photo and auto Kevin Smith - auto i had such a great time, Kevin was so good and was so funny and naughty giving personalised autos and photos despite being told off for doing it. He had such a long queue but still made everyone feel special and not rushed. Mads was lovely too and gave me a massive hug at the photo session. i had so much fun plus got a few Pops to boot.
  8. Not sure if this will work or not but I have a gif of Mads after I gave him my eat the rude cross stitch http://gph.is/2uapi1D I had such a great time and everyone was so kind and lovely.
  9. Steady.....don't be giving me any ideas. i think my husband is regretting getting me this by the minute as it's all I talk about (as if Mads didn't feature in our lives enough).
  10. I'm in a quandary over what to have autographed (having only really done book signings before). I have the feeding Hannibal book which I think would be awesome signed (if he is ok signing it), my Hannibal and Wendigo POPs or do I go with a photo? I feel like my feeding Hannibal is my first choice but I should have a back up. My POPs live on display so I worry about sun damage. Does anyone have experience of Mads signing the feeding Hannibal book? Any opinions to offer up? Should I just pay extra and have the book and POP done?
  11. Mads has hannibal and wendigo version and a Galen and kaecilius
  12. I can't believe how close it is. I don't know if it's better or worse as I get tickets last minute so I still haven't found my chill from booking and I'm on countdown for going! Probably better for my anxiety as as I don't have time to disect every last thing.
  13. And the DP number I'll find out when I pick up my pass? Right? I think I'm getting the hang of this not stressing out lark.
