Hi everyone, hoping to get some advice here. For the past few years i've had a hobby of creating art work inspired by comics, films and video games. I'd really like to attend an upcoming event as a trader. I've read the Showmasters Ts&Cs regarding traders and one thing which stood out as slightly confusing was (along the lines of) "No unofficial/unlicensed merchandise." I've reached out to the license holders of Marvel and Star Wars requesting a licence to produce and sell art inspired by their characters and all things which fall under their copyright. Their response basically summed up the rules regarding this, and they do not grant this permission to anyone. In my previous visits to Showmasters conventions i have seen countless traders selling prints, posters, all types of things which are directly related to Star Wars, Marvel, DC etc. I phoned the showmasters office to ask about this, and they just reiterated what i've already read about no unofficial merch, and i should seek permission from the licence holder. Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing?

I really enjoyed the Dominic Monaghan talk. He was funny, interesting and engaging. One of the highlights of the event for me.

I went along on Saturday and had such a great time. It was my first time attending a comic con, and im already looking forward to the next one! Met some cool people and the whole place had such a great atmosphere.
