  1. There's a lot of 40th anniversaries this year I share my birthday with, like a fair few of you 80s kids, and there's definitely some dream guests to go with the year of '84. Here's my dream list for LFCC Summer, I won't expect all but even some would be cool for group shoots and autographs, and see some as very doable. I've also compiled some lists of some notable anniversaries for fans and ideas. Noted some involved have sadly left us, but have included due to fans of these and also there's always someone tied to it, be it writer, artist or star of a adaptation. Transformers Peter Cullen Frank Welker Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Peter Laird (Sadly its very rare and getting rarer as time goes on) Kevin Eastman (Been before and was brilliant, with exclusive prints) Nightmare on Elm Street Robert Englund - Full costume shoot with Boiler Room (We sadly never got a full costume shoot, but he's done make up and a few Elm Street guests this year) Heather Langenkamp Ghostbusters (Also Frozen Empire is released this year) Bill Murray (Probably the least likely to get) Dan Aykroyd Ernie Hudson Sigourney Weaver (She did it once, drew a huge crowd) Annie Potts Rick Moranis (Can't see it happening, but worth mentioning, who doesn't love Rick!) Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger (A very tall order, but not out of the limits of possibilities, but will be expensive) Linda Hamilton Michael Biehn Akira, Vol. 1 Katsuhiro Otomo 1984 also sees the anniversaries of the following films (which also have some notable names for guests)... Police Academy Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (Hayao Miyazaki would be a epic guest) Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (I'd be happy just with Ke Huy Quan) Gremlins The Karate Kid This Is Spinal Tap The Never Ending Story Beverly Hills Cop Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (Be sure to see Tom Savini at Spring LFCC, hopefully he can so Summer too. And I know some want Feldman) Children of the Corn Purple Rain (True no Prince, but it was a phenomenon and still plenty of cast and the band left) Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (Lloyd and Shatner?) Romancing the Stone Supergirl The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension Some notable comic anniversaries too. Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars ties into the origin of the popular supervillain Venom. Spider-Man's black costume first appears in The Amazing Spider-Man #252 ties into the origin of the popular supervillain Venom. "The Kid Who Collects Spider-Man," written by Roger Stern, with art by Ron Frenz and Terry Austin is published in The Amazing Spider-Man #248. Scream! #1, published by IPC Magazines. British writer Alan Moore takes over Swamp Thing #20 New Teen Titans, with issue #41, becomes Tales of the Teen Titans. Fantastic Four #265 — She-Hulk joins the Fantastic Four Legion of Super-Heroes, with issue #314, becomes Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes. The West Coast Avengers #1 in a four-issue mini-series The Judge Dredd story "City of the Damned" begins its run in 2000 AD Kitty Pryde and Wolverine #1 in a six-issue mini-series, by Chris Claremont and Al Milgrom, Iceman #1 in a four-issue limited series by J.M. DeMatteis, Alan Kupperberg, and Mike Gustovich; Captain America #300: "Cap vs. The Red Skull — To the Death!" by J. M. DeMatteis, Paul Neary, and Dennis Janke. Superman #400: 68-page anniversary issue: "The Living Legends of Superman." World's Finest Comics #300: 52-page anniversary issue. TV anyone? Thomas & Friends (Ringo Starr was the voice of a childhood for a lot of us) Miami Vice Airwolf Robin of Sherwood V Tales from the Darkside 'Allo 'Allo! Notable books to as I know the convention attracts some book lovers. The Hunt for Red October - Tom Clancy So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish (The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, #4) - Douglas Adams In the Hand of the Goddess (Song of the Lioness, #2) - Tamora Pierce Dragons of Autumn Twilight (Dragonlance: Chronicles, #1) - Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman The Talisman - Stephen King, Peter Straub Thinner - Stephen King (I've become settled on the fact we will never get a King appearance over here, but he's still high on my guest list) Neuromancer (Sprawl, #1) - William Gibson Enchanters' End Game (The Belgariad #5) - David Eddings Castle of Wizardry (The Belgariad #4) - David Eddings Heretics of Dune (Dune, #5) - Frank Herbert The Hero and the Crown (Damar, #2) - Robin McKinley Legend (The Drenai Saga, #1) - David Gemmell Books of Blood: Volumes One to Three - Clive Barker (Another dream guest, but can't see it happening) There's so many more, we could be here all day. And that's not including music, art, etc. So whose your dream anniversary guest, who would you like to see? Any of the mentioned giving you ideas?
  2. I would of got a early entry ticket if I knew the Carl Weathers shoot was gonna be before stanrd entry times :/
  3. Photoshoot sold out on the Saturday when I'm going anyone know if there will be more batches coming?
  4. Thought I'd share my friends Elm Street Fan Film. https://youtu.be/YKJh5e2aVbs
  5. James Hong just did Horrorhound Weekend over in the states as Lo Pan from Big Trouble In Little China. Should try and get him over here for the costume shoot. Preferably Brighton as I'm going there in November.
  6. You have nothing to apologize for. More your bosses if anything. But getting it wrong twice in a row over the same thing. And other people having the same problem with miss-information over a time error on the day in the first place is pretty bad form.
  7. My problem is I explained all this when I contacted the store and cause I was misinformed I asked if I could have the free entry to the event and use the vouchers I still have to pay for the autograph. So the clipping or unclipping in that context will be irrelevant because when I do see Robert I'd be paying for the autograph. Please do no feel I am having a go at you as I know you are only relaying what you have been informed.
  8. Please read a post I posted a while back... 31 July 2015 - 04:40 PM Right I got a reply as I saw some of you had the problem of not being notified about the access to a other event to meet Robert Englund instead of the voucher compensation. I been told I can take my Diamond Pass to a event to gain entry but have to pay for the autograph myself (which I can do with the vouchers I was given). I have to present it to a pit boss on the day of entry who will be in red. To double check if need be I emailed shop@showmastersevents.com and had to wait for a reply within two working days. I also asked for the Bournemouth event so don't know it others will be different policy but assume it's the same for the other events. I just got told I was misinformed by the staff who emailed me saying I can use my pass as a form of entry to get my autogrpah (which was due to their error) and now can't use it to gain entry. All about the money, and don't give two s**ts about customer service.
  9. That's really bad, they told me I could gain entry and use my vouchers to pay for my autograph. Due to the fact I wasn't informed about the free entry and autograph at another event. Really really bad form on Showmasters behalf. especially as others weren't told about both options and on my part for being told I could gain entry to Bournemouth and use my vouchers and now told I can't. Disgusted.

  11. VT were a disaster and pointless. Was very crowded and felt like tickets were over sold to make more money. From a business point of view this is a obvious tactic but generates very bad feedback and made a lot of folks unhappy on the day. Can't do much about the heat. Queuing needs to be A LOT better organised for photographs. SUGGESTION: railings or pillars. No problems with staff, think some weren't notified when they should of been but that's not there fault, that's the responsibility of their bosses. Security on the other hand came of rude, not to me personally but to others I saw who didn't need it when things were crowded.
  12. so is there any way of me getting £10 off my early bird ticket due to my pass being clipped? (as I would have snatched their hands off HAD this, or any entry, been offered to me as an alternative to the vouchers) I have been informed that both alternatives were offered right from the start. If you want to try to get an exception drop the office a line, I'm afraid this is totally out of my hands. OK will do. I was definitely not offered such, and I am just seeking a fair solution to a problem that has arisen from misinformation given to me at the desk. Thanks for the information / suggestion! I got the same problem, I was given vouchers but not informer of the alternative. They told me I can use the vouchers at any event but nothing about free entry to another show or a free autograph. I was going to go to Bournemouth and spend my vouchers to get a autograph from Robert and buy a ticket. Would of done the alternative if it was offered to me. Sorry, but I can tell you the same only what I already told gorefandanny. There's nothing the forum mods can do here. That's ok, thank you. Do you have contact details on who I can call or email. I used the contact page twice and emailed the shop but had no luck with replys.
  13. With LFCC 2015 having a load of authors this year who would you like for future events? For me it'd have to be... Stephen King Clive Barker Susan Hill George R. R. Martin J.K. Rowling Joe Hill Max Brooks
  14. Let put it this way - Would you rather meet Conan, Dutch (Predator) and the T- 800 or... Rocky, Rambo and The Demolition Man. Arnie for me, and if Crom doesn't answer my prayer, then to hell with you.
  15. AKIRA TORIYAMA!!!! I could get my Dragon Ball 1 Signed Bill Willingham & Mark Buckingham (together) Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman (Together this time) Masashi Kishimoto Katsuhiro Otomo Frank Miller Jim Lee Todd McFarlane Chris Claremont Rick Remender Robert Kirkman
