I also had a short chat with Rene Auberjonois that I started with my being a fan of Boston Legal. I think he liked that fans also enjoy some non-Trek stuff. For Gates McFadden I was not prepared, because it was a spontaneous decision. When she asked me what I did and I replied that I was a doctor, we had something to talk about. I really liked that conversation.

True. However, they did show very short clips during the opening ceremony. They were one scene and they ended abruptly. That could and should be improved.

I would also like to see some video footage from TOS/TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT and the movies before the guest appear at the talks. It was nice at the opening ceremony, but the clips were to short, badly cut and the quality of the screening was not very good. I also would like some 'cinema' where fans could non-stop watch episodes/movies, more merchandise and better food.

I don't care where and I almost don't care who will come. I will definitely go there. Marina Sirtis was great and so was Brent Spiner. I liked his malicious humor... :)

To be honest, organization seemed a bit confused. I am happy that I went there well prepared and did not need much advice at the event. Photoshoots were really an exception. Everything went smooth there. Queuing for the talks was also a bit un-organised, but the wait was ok. When we had to leave one talk and directly queued for the next, we hardly stood there for 10 minutes. There was only a small number of seats. However, when we needed one to eat something or have a little break we always found one.

And some of them are very strange like the one who complains that he was through the whole thing in 30 minutes... what was he expecting?

My wife came with me to Franfurt (from Munich), because she could go shopping on Saturday. However, in the end she quite liked it. She is not a fan and I had to show her some Trek before we went. She really liked Karl Urban, Dominic & Connor, Shatner and Brent Spiner.

After this great weekend, I think I would travel anywhere (at least in Europe) to have that again. Was my first convention at age 39 being a Trekkie since I was little. I almost get tears in my eyes when I think of DSTG. Meeting Shatner and Urban was fantatstic.

Now also the ordering system works fine. I deleted a 30€ photo shoot and added 2 15€ photo shoots. I was not charged any money and instantaneously received an email confirmation with my updated ticket batch. Great!

Now they are here... finally!

Seems that no one got their tickets yet... could it be they meant next Wednesday?

So when do I get those? Do I have to stand in line right before the free talk and waste more of my precious time waiting in line...

Well, it is winter, although we have a very mild winter in Germany this year. Today 5°C in Munich. I would expect something like this for end of February also.
