That's where we stayed, it's about double that price this year though however still much cheaper than many alternatives. It was incredibly hot last year and so was the hotel but other than that it was convenient and lots of ammenities nearby so easy to pick up food etc.

10th anniversary of Farscape
Magical~SJ replied to RobbieRebel's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2014
This would be fab, my other half is a big Farscape fan and has recently got me into it. Would be happy to meet any of the main cast. -

The wonder of Avery Brooks
Magical~SJ replied to petrorabbit's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2013
We have met Avery twice now, at LFCC and at DSTL. In both instances he was really fantastic with us (me and my boyfriend) and really made each event special. Unfortunately I get a bit nervous/exciteable in his presence and am completely unable to say anything particularly worthwhile/profound but he deals with my superfast babbling incredibly well. -
The lighting on 3 out of 4 of my photos are a bit off to be honest. The darkness of the photos makes me look unusually grumpy lol. They were taken at Photo C whereas my one good shot was at Photo A. I was tempted to get the DS9 group shot, would have been gutted if the lighting hadn't turned out right.

So, who were your favourite guests?
Magical~SJ replied to CosmicAvatar's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2013
Alexander Siddig was my favourite, he was extremely friendly and commented on how my name was actually one of his many names, tried to guess where my accent was from. Happily let me take a photo after signing an autograph and remembered me again the next day at the photo shoot. Salome Jens was a lovely lady and the last I met over the weekend and yet she chatted away as I rambled on slightly. Lena Headey was a lot of fun. Amanda Tapping was incredibly genuine and warm. David Warner was also fab and made really friendly chat. Avery Brooks was great with me and my partner and we had a laugh and he commented everytime he saw us after. Armin Shimerman was also fantastic and we discussed his experiences of Scotland. The guests really made this event very special, enjoying reading everyones experiences. -
Loving seeing everyones photos :) I've got some of mine on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/sharifa.joy.35/media_set?set=a.10153075874220122.1073741829.829745121&type=3

Yeah completely agree with stevothorne101. Im not overly familiar with all of Danny Glovers roles however really enjoyed listening to him talking of his on set memories and approaches to acting. Was a real shame that the audience was so small.

Star Trek guests are a must for me. Would also love any key characters from Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, True Blood, X-Files and my boyfriend would appreciated Summer Glau =D

We both ordered Star Trek packs and got approximately 5 out of 16 Star Trek autos, although ones we are very happy with Gates McFadden, Alice Krige, JG Hertzler, Ethan Philips. I am unsure of the the other autos however, may need some quality time on IMDB.

Latest guest announcement - AVERY BROOKS
Magical~SJ replied to showmasters's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2013
Avery was really fab with us (me and my partner) throughout the event. On Friday we got his autograph, we had a print that we bought at DSTL from Cirroc Lofton of Sisko. Avery was chatting away to us and then he remembered us both and our names at our photoshoot on Saturday. We were lucky enough to get front row seats at the DS9 talk today and my partner Oliver got a shout out from Avery after he answered a question from someone in the audience. It was definately the highlight of our trip. -
Anyone travelling from Scotland
Magical~SJ replied to PhantomMajor's topic in London Film and Comic Con 2013
Travelling via train from Dunfermline down to London on Thursday morning to give us plenty of chill out time. We flew to DSTL last year but all our flights home were cancelled with no alternatives so we ended up getting a train anyway. Making a full weekend of it and coming back on Monday. -
Hey looking for a little guidance, was reading through the information on the gold passes and must have previously missed the point where it says you need to email a passport sized photo for the pass. I haven't done this yet and probably won't be able to do this until tomorrow evening now. A bit worried if this will hold up delivery of my pass as we are heading down to London from Scotland first thing on Thursday.
